Final Verdict

It is definitely safe to say that Logitech has produced two very fine 2.1 speaker systems with the Logitech Z623 and the Logitech Z625. They are both definitely more than you would expect for their price range. We found the sound to be above excellent in terms of crispness and quality, especially for movies and gaming. You can really tell the difference between these and other systems that aren’t THX certified.

The size and design of the subwoofer and satellite speakers were just right for most setups. Realistically, there was not enough difference in the size or weight to make a difference in the decision. The subwoofers look very sleek with perfectly straight edges but be careful not to knock yourself or the corners because it will hurt.

As the two speaker systems were so similar, it was a difficult choice. We appreciated the longer warranty with the Logitech Z623 but as they are so reliable, it wasn’t something that we considered a huge advantage. Today’s winner is the Logitech Z625 because of the additional optical input and cable. It provides another high-quality connection so you can make the most of fiber optics.
