This is a black speaker system that is smart looking and tidy. The subwoofer is 11.5 x 11.06 x 12.5 inches and weighs 19.84 pounds. Each of the satellite speakers is 6.5 x 3.9 x 3.66 inches and weight 1.96 pounds. In total, the system weighs 36.6 pounds.
Logitech Z5500
The subwoofer is black and then the satellite speakers and console are black or silver. Rather than a bar, the console looks more like a large MP3 player. There is no information about the dimensions but the overall weight is 55.1 pounds, so we can assume it is a little larger.

There were so many similarities between the Logitech Z906 and the Logitech Z5500 that it was very difficult to choose. The fact that they were both THX-certified was awesome and the quality of the sound was undeniable. While you can hook them up to your laptop, it’s worth remembering that they are designed for home entertainment theaters and this is where you will hear them perform at their best.
In the end, we decided that the Logitech Z906 was the better 5.1 surround sound speaker system. We preferred the design, being all one color made it look a little smarter compared to the slightly more futuristic Logitech Z5500. A big part of the choice also came down to the value of money. Even if you can find a good deal, it is likely that you will be paying considerably less for the Logitech Z906.
