Pros:

  • It is really easy to install the software whether you use the CD or download it straight from Epson
  • A brilliant solution for artists who want a digital copy of their work
  • There are no issues with Windows 10

Cons:

  • It’s not the fastest of scanners

Epson V600

Epson v600

Pros:

  • It’s great that the Digital ICE works on photos, films, and slides
  • The Professional Mode allows you to set more parameters
  • It’s faster than the V370, so more suitable for large scanning jobs

Cons:

  • The Digital ICE will slow down the scanning process

The Final Verdict

There are two things that will depend on the individual’s needs. The first is whether or not you are going to scan objects other than prints and documents. If so, the V370 is the choice for you. Being able to open the lid further and having Scan and Stich will make a world of difference to you. If you have a lot of old negatives, particularly if they are old, then the V600 is a better option. The Digital ICE will really bring your negative back to life.

Aside from these points, we felt that the V370 is the superior photo scanner from Epson. It has the same auto-correction button to restore the color to photos and the same Arc Soft photo edit. So most of the major editing you would want to do can be done on both. Although it doesn’t have Digital Ice, it still comes with auto dust correction.

It is a lot smaller than the V600. It will save you office space and it’s easier to move around if need be. Being so much cheaper did help our decision. The main advantage of the V600 was the scan to PDF. That being said, you can scan your image and document and then from your computer, you can change the file to a PDF format.

The main advantage of the V370 is the scan to the Cloud feature. Today, more and more of us are moving over to Cloud solutions so the Epson V370 photo scanner is really keeping up with the latest trends in modern technology.
