The Crucial MX500 and the Crucial BX500 are good choices for those who have never installed an SSD card before. Their compatibility is exactly as advertised, and we were impressed with the speed of both. All the laptops and computers we installed them onto performed at much higher levels.

The overall winner today is the Crucial MX500. So many of the features were similar and we even the speed didn’t impact the decision that much. It’s true that they cost a little more, but you do get a longer warranty. What really made our decision was security. Having AES 256-bit encryption made the Crucial MX500 the much safer option.
