The Final Verdict

This was a tricky decision for us today. The integrated technology is the same, the set up was simple for both of the Bose Soundbars and all of the ways to connect and control the soundbars were consistently good.

We thought the microphone was of good quality and picked up our voice clearly, you don’t have to shout at Alexa because she doesn’t understand you. And we also felt that Bose had provided everything that you need to be able to use the Bose Soundbar 500 and the Bose Soundbar 700 straight out of the box.

So, we decided that if you already have Bose speakers, you are better off with the Bose Soundbar 500. While still pricey, it was much cheaper than the Bose Soundbar 700. So, you can appreciate the quality of the Bose sound and the amazing features of the soundbar.

That being said. If you have no surround sound speakers, the Bose Soundbar 700 is the choice for you. Yes, it is expensive, but once you adjust the sound settings to your liking, the sound is absolutely fantastic. The remote control is better as well, the Soundbar 500 has a rather basic remote. The design with the premium glass top is much more attractive, so, this, with the amazing sound, makes the Bose Soundbar 700 the superior choice.
