The Final Verdict

These are both excellent choices for those who want an easy set-up. There are no cables to deal with and they come with a mounting bracket if you want to mount it onto a wall. For people who aren’t tech-savvy, we highly recommend the Blink XT and the Blink XT2.

With regards to the picture quality with both still shots and video, this will very much depend on the strength of your Wi-Fi. For the price of the cameras, we were very impressed with both cameras and felt that they did exactly what we needed them to do.

Today’s winner is the Blink XT. The functions are almost identical and although the Blink XT2 had two-way audio, we didn’t feel that the technology was quite there yet. For this reason, we felt that you could save yourself around $20 and have a solid home security system with the Blink XT.
